Ah, Studio Feel. I
can see that you’re mediocre, as usual.
Now, I have a few questions for you, because I’m a bit confused about
this show’s use of logic. Feel free to
answer them if you’d like…
What is this guy thinking? The uncle tells his niece that she’s
performing at an event minutes before it starts, tells her nothing about what she’s supposed to say or do, and still acts shocked when she, believe it or not, doesn’t know what to do! Would rehearsals really be that difficult to do?
Continuing on from that, why does he make his niece (who I
assume he knows has stage fright) ad-lib a performance in front of a huge group
of people – in a bikini? Does he really
hate her that much? Was it really so hard to find some other, willing girl and have her do it instead
(I mean, he found one already, so it’s not impossible to find anyone to do it)? Why do this trickery? What if she forgot the song lyrics or
something because she was scared? Then
the event would have been even more of a failure.
Why is everyone (and I mean everyone) absolutely enthralled when they hear two girls singing
their town anthem to piano accompaniment?
Its set up that everyone in town already knows the song (probably from
school), so why do they all (including the notoriously indifferent teenage male
crowd) get all excited when they hear the boring, cheesy song yet again by some
random chicks?
Why does the main character suddenly decide she wants to be
an idol after refusing it several times, embarrassing herself publicly, and
overall messing everything up? Is it
because she has a lesbian crush on the blonde or something?
Is it now a Japanese custom to greet strangers by hugging
them tightly and shoving their head in your chest? Must get awkward. I guess if this is true, though, most harems
would make more sense…
And, finally, do you know how many anime that are coming
out/that came out recently are about cute little girls becoming idols? Hmmm… Wake Up, Girls, Love Live, iLDOLM@STER, PuriPara, Minarai Diva…shit, we even have multiple shows this season about guys
being idols (Bakumatsu Rock, Shounen
Hollywood)! What makes you think
that this one will stand out in anyone’s memories? I mean, anyone who isn’t a hardcore idol fan
will probably just pass this by. It’s
not horrible, perse, but it’s really
nothing special and certainly won’t be drawing any new people in.
